Heat Styling Instructions 🔥
Heat-Friendly Fibers
Heat-friendly fibers will begin to frizz, stiffen, and clump over time. Heat must be applied to maintain the softness and life of the fibers. Always start with a clean, dry or slightly damp, and detangled wig.
🪄 For heat-friendly synthetic wigs, use only low to medium heat settings—never exceed manufacturer’s recommendations or 350°F (180°C), whichever is lower
🫧 Always ensure the wig is clean and dry before applying heat.
👩🔬 Section the hair and style only small portions at a time, using a flat iron, curling wand, or blow dryer designed for synthetic fibers.
🧊 Allow each styled section to cool completely before touching or re-styling to help set the shape.
🫙 Consider using a heat protectant spray formulated for synthetic hair, if available, or spritz with water.
🔍 Test heat on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure safe results.
Non Heat-Friendly Fibers
🌫️ Use a handheld steamer designed for synthetic hair to refresh and smooth your wig—never use direct heat tools.
🚫 Do not use flat irons, curling wands, or blow dryers on non heat-friendly wigs, as high temperatures can damage the fibers.
🫧 Place the wig on a mannequin head or wig stand to maintain its shape while steaming.
↘️ Hold the steamer about 6–8 inches away from the hair and gently move it along the length to release tangles, eliminate frizz, or reshape curls.
👐 Use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb to gently style the wig while it is still damp with steam.
🕒 Allow the wig to air dry completely before wearing or further styling.
⚠️ Always test steam on a small, hidden section first to check for any adverse reaction.
